Aidan 21, birds of prey 6 July

Today we went to see an amazing bird show at the Birds of Prey centre. We saw all three shows where the birds got to fly. 

At the first show the first birds were two barn owls. One of the barn owls came out again in the last show because it did not like working with the other one so they wanted to give it another go.

My favourite  birds were the barn owls and a turkey vulture named Lady, I also liked the eagles.  We got to hold a kestrel and a hawk and an owl. 

The aviary for the barn owls was cool. It was all set up like a barn. Their places to sleep was a box that looked just like something in a barn.

The handlers had to put down the doors were the little birds were so they did not get scared when the bigger birds were flying.

In the first and second shows they were flying the birds across the valley but there was not any wind so it was hard for the big birds to fly and they were panting.
