Aidan 19 26th June Aberdulais Tin Mine

The ruins of a dirty smell place when tin was made was where we visited today.

The tin mine had been built where there used to be a beautiful waterfall. They blew up half the waterfall using dynamite so they could use the rock for buildings.

To make te tin they got steel plate and heated it in a furnace. Then they fold and roll four times. They would then split the tin and make it as thin as a wafer. Then they reheated it then dipped it in molten tin. Then it was polished by lady and kids.  The kids were about the age of eight. They scraped it and boxed it and sent a way to be made into lot of things.

We then went to see an old abbey in the rain.
