Aidan 14, June 12 - 14th

On Sunday we went to Torbay to watch the air show.  We went with dad. We had to go on two trains to get there.  When we arrived we had to show a man our tickets. Mum started packing some of the suitcases. We did not get to see all the planes because we had to get our train home but we saw most of the flying.  All the planes were awesome but my favourites were the red arrows, they go really fast.

I also liked the coloured smoke that came out the back of the planes. They went upside down and made a heart shape out of the smoke. The smoke was all different colours. These red arrows were the ones that did the fly past for the Queen’s birthday fly past at Buckingham Palace. I saw them on the tv.

The other ones I liked were the wing walkers.  They were women who were strapped to the wings of the biplanes.  Then they unstrapped themselves and walked on the wing of the plane. They also did handstands while the planes were flying in circles.  I thought they were going to fall off the top of the wings but they didn’t. It was really clever.
Some men jumped out of planes with parachutes.  There were six men, three landed in the water first  the other three grabbed hold of each other and let go just as they fell into water.
We had to sit on the beach to get a good view. The sand on the beach is red and grainy, not nice and white and soft like our sand at home.

Today we left our hotel that we stayed in last night to go to our second house sit. When we got to our hotel we went to our floor and into our room to put our bags in then went on a bus to meet the people who live in the house. We met both their cats. One was under the sofa and the other one was sitting with the owners. The one that was under the sofa is a boy, his a name is Leo. The girl was the one sitting with the owners and her name is Cassie. Leo is the one that is most friendly but he is a little bit of a scaredy cat. When we got in we could only see Cassie and we couldn’t find Leo.

We went into London to a museum where they had lots of dead animals in jars and lots of skeletons, then we went to a history museum and saw lots of mummies.

When we got back Mum cooked dinner and while Mum was cooking dinner Dad was looking for a wine glass and he looked in two little cupboards under where Cassie was yesterday and Leo was hiding in the far one. He got in by a hole  in the side of the cupboard. We gave him two  of their treats then I tried to pat him but he ran under the sofa where he was yesterday when we came to meet them.
