Holly 2, May 24th

Last night Rufus slept with me and this morning he threw up at the bottom of the stair case and it was horrible.  Also we went to see the Bratton Camp white horse

and the Millennium Horse. They were made from chalky ground.
On our way to see the horses we stopped at a church and we saw a sundial so Mum taught us Roman numerals.

We also went on a narrow boat called Victorius and it's owner is Gypsy John. We helped him with the locks as well.
We pushed the lock gates and turned the windlass. This opens the paddles to let the water in and out. It is very hard to turn. There is a small path with sticking up bits for grips to help push on the lock gates which are very heavy.
He had a King Charles spaniel that was deaf and blind, his name was Bill.
But he does like swimming in the canal. Oh! and also Aidan, Dad and I took Rufus for a walk and he stopped at the hair dresser for a treat.

  2. Hi Holly and Aidan
Unca here. I have just caught up with your news after a few days. Wow, how fantastic to have seen the Trooping of the Colours. And I am very glad glad finally bought a car. And what an interesting story about St George. I guess the dragon was a bit like the Bunyip, right?
    Love from Unca
